London Winter Wonderland 2014 x Lovers Quarrel|小吵架後之年尾最後一次dating

WE MADE IT !!

Finally, we made it to spend around one and a half hour in the wonderland before it closed at 10 on Last Tues, believably our last date in 2014. Back in 5 hours ago, we were busy doing our own things in our very own room. While he was buzzing around clearing his tasks on the list, I was secretly feeling unpleasant as we were not planning any couple-ly festive thingy on our last, same day off before 2014 ends. He is not ermm... very conscious when it comes to comprehending my implication. It's not like I don't want to be straight forward but sometimes it becomes meaningless if you tell what you like and want so clearly. Girls sometimes like you to notice things for special occasion yourself! Okay let me explain a little bit more.

First of all we are actually living in different time zones. He works mainly on night shift coming home after 3 the least; meanwhile I am working from late morning to evening. Although we have moved in together, our free times are barely overlapped. Knowing how tough he works daily I didn't want to complain about not being able to spend Christmas together AT ALL. After he told me he won't be able to do things with me so I said this is fine we are not going to Winter Wonderland because we had done it last year anyway... Obviously I said it because I didn't want him to feel my disappointment hence for being demanding and not considerate. AND again he took that serious. He wasn't interested in any of my other suggestions for festive celebration either so I was a bit let down. okay okay long story short, I was playing a little bit of mood and left home to do some shopping in Oxford Circus. He texted me angrily about my attitude... and after texting on and off for an hour we finally met at the Winter Wonderland <3 Oh well and that was a sweet sweet evening.

Walking into a Winter Wonderland by Michael Bubblé

We had some typical carnival food such as hot dog and mulled wines, tastes so-so. The mulled wine added real cherries for one quid more (see right on picture), although much sweeter yet didn't make it better. We both also had hot chocolate and churro topped with heavy belgian chocolate earlier but didn't have hands to take pictures. Those were super yummy!! Finger Lickin' GOOD

Since we only had a very short time AND I am such a chicken when it comes to super spinning rides, so we only went on this "Drop Tower"/ 跳樓機 which was fun but was not excited enough. Oh well what can I expect from carnival standard rides? It was also his first time going on one of these. The price, 7quids per person is a bit crazy tho.

We didn't really spend times at the Christmas Market tbh. Not very into buying Christmas cxxps. The atmosphere was really great tho when you walk through these stalls and Christmas lights.

We skipped the queuing for those popular rides and instead we went for these very lame games and he won these two babies home. The duck represents him because he has the same hair without any hair products, and penguin is me becoz... haha private joke. He couldn't get the minion he wanted though.

So yeah, that's what we did pretty much in that one and a half hour. This gentleman has been so ill and non-stop coughing since the beginning of Dec so I feel guilty for dragging him out, especially I did the same one week ago too for Cereal Killers in Brick Lane. We were queuing 30 mins in the cold for that cereals... I will write about it next time...  This is our second year spending the winter together which I did not expect to happen. I am really grateful about everything he had done for me and at this moment he is really the most amazing boyfriend.

Exmouth Coffee Company @ Whitechapel | New Job Count Down

Coffee
Break.

Exmouth Coffee Company Whitechapel E1 7QX

Walking on the busy west side of Whitechapel High St,
right between KFC and the old beautiful Whitechapel Art Gallery,
there is a little cafe glowing in its warmest light
in this dark winter afternoon.

It melts every freezing soul who passes by...

Well, at least mine.

Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg

This is my second visit to the Exmouth Coffee Company, an independent coffee shop in East London. The shop is only a few minutes walk from home and most importantly it opens until 8p.m everyday, good for me to hop out for a good coffee before supper or to spend long hours working on my laptop. Being so popular at one of the busiest corner in London also means lots of noises and it is, indeed, not easy to ignore the people who are constantly coming in and out, especially when the staffs serving food from the kitchen at the far back of their long rectangular shop floor... Though, it feels more lively when there is always something going on.

They have typical cafe menu such as panini, sandwiches, patisseries and of course, a range of roasted coffee. Food are delicious, very homy and freshly made. So far I have tried their orange macaroon, vegetable tart with goat cheese and cappuccino, my favourite of all time. Their prices are also reasonable too considering their location. For one standard coffee it is less than £2 to take out. Although nothing too surprising there to be honest, yet what a cosy place it is with smily lovely staffs. The interior is pretty much of typical Brick Lane style with a touch of old English glamour where the vintage looking chandeliers highlight the entire shop in which it neutralises their cool tool industrial brick walls.

So, I was having my coffee there enjoying the very last bit of my free flexible times before I begin working on Thursday. YES ! I got a job! Temporary though. This is a Christmas sales assistant position for Massimo Dutti. A very tough choice frankly, as they require complete flexibility. For once I am also offered for a very good intern opportunity at the same time. I am sure I can figure it out at some point. After almost three weeks being so laid back this is time for some hard work!

Last Christmas I gave you my heart, and the very next day. . . . We were totally in love.

Bubbly sparkly Regent Street in festive season.

It has been more than two weeks since I have got back to London...  London! Oh London.... my dear it is so grey and bloody cold. Also the festive season is ON! It means everywhere is stuffed with the cheesy red & green decorations, flashy lights and unavoidably the SAME looped songs. Most importantly the big 4 letters S-A-L-E, they give you thousands of silly reasons to convince you this is the best time of year to spend all your savings for things that you literally don't need because IT IS THE TIME. Ok yeh I am trying to avoid the "C" word here which seems so not relating anymore. YES! You know I know, she and he even the Santa knows after all we just want to be spoiled a little bit after whole year of hard work; just throw out "I deserve it" or "It worths it" and it will be fine. Not being cynical, but sharing the voice for being one of the festive sales suckers, unfortunately...  :P

Certainly, commercial sh*t aside, this special period also means the best time to legally party until the world ends... Never being too much of a party animal while staying thousands miles away from my parent, I am more than happy to spend the day with someone special. I would rather stay at home and snuggle with my boyfriend, watching his favourite festive movie Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas or going to Winer Wonderland which we had also done it last year. However seems like it is not very likely to happen this year since he is working during the whole period.  Not sure how but since we are now living together now I am sure we will figure out something to do together. Our relationship has been more than one year at this point and undoubtedly had been one amazing ride.  Thank you for being such a sweetheart and such a brilliant boyfriend. I feel like we have both grown mature after experienced so much together.

When we went to the Winter Wonderland in the rain.

Ice Kingdom, Big wheel and Circus.... Thank you for planning so much.

It was back in Stratford and definitely was a wonderful night that full of joys and laughs on that cosy sofa. Still remember you putting up that 3 hours Youtube video of cheesy X'mas songs with that running fire screen because I never had sat next to a real chimney fire before. Haha It was also my first time cooking for you, not the best stuffs but was good enough. Thank you for giving me a different Ch**tmas.

Endless Vacation。Goodbye student life and London! Here I am again!

A glimpse of my passport.

My passport is so full of chopped stamps as always, showing the countries where I had left my leg hair (Cantonese joke alert) and of course majority of them marked my entries to the almighty Great Britain. Though, there is something different this time, on a new page of my BNO (just in case you haven't heard of it, it means British National Overseas, google it and you will understand the weird concept of it) there is a new visa... Whoosh! I AM ON MY WORKING HOLIDAY !

This is still pretty hard for me to get over that fact that officially I am no longer a student, like even half a year has passed. Being a non-student adult is like losing the special identity, the rights to get discounts for commission tickets, sales and... excuses to make mistakes. Arrh well the worst is actually the paying traffic cost in London, it stops me wanting to go out at some point. Paying £ 2.20 for a single ride is enough for me to travel as little as 4 times in Hong Kong. Oh well it depends where I go but you get my idea here. Every time when I take tube it is like reminding me how expensive life is like in this busy city.  This video The 13 Worst Things About living in London  made by Buzzfeed simply expresses my feelings... Yet, no matter what I still am happy to be part of it.

I think it is the right time to get back into my habit of blogging. Hopefully I can find all my old posts and transfer them here.

So yeah, I am back, London.
Please treat me good with kindness in the next two years. Amen xxx
